Crysis Warhead seeks to improve upon everything we loved about Crysis and add a few tricks of its own. Running on an optimized CryEngine 2.0, Warhead tells a story parallel to the one in the first game by following Psycho on his own adventure. We got our hands on a frozen tundra of a level that was entirely different from what we previously saw at Comic-Con.
The level kicked off with a deep freeze immobilizing Psycho's fellow soldiers and an imminent attack by enemy soldiers also wearing nanosuits. This initial confrontation prompted us to use a new grenade that sets off an orb of energy that disables any nanosuit technology in range. It reminded me of the power-drain item in Halo 3 in that it not only affects enemies but will also take away your own powers if you get too close.
